The Arsenal
Every tool I actually use in the workshop. Hand-picked, battle-tested, and linked for your convenience.
Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter
The single most essential tool in the workshop. Precision hot wire cuts through XPS foam with zero crumbling. Cleaner edges than any blade. This is the one.
Foam Safe Super Glue
Fast-cure cyanoacrylate for bonding foam, resin, and detail parts. Instant grab, no warping — I go through bottles of this stuff every month.
Mod Podge Matte Sealer
Seals foam before painting to prevent spray primer from melting it. Also works as a final matte varnish. A non-negotiable in any terrain build.
Adhesives
Odorless, foam-safe cyanoacrylate. My go-to for bonding foam details without melting anything.
Instantly cures CA glue on contact. Strawberry scent, fast dry — essential when you're building in layers.
All-purpose adhesive for lighter bonds, basing materials, and scenic scatter. Dries clear and fast.
Cutting Tools
Sharp, reliable utility knives for scoring foam, cutting card, and trimming detail pieces. Always keep fresh blades loaded.
Precision flush-cut nippers for trimming resin sprues, wire, and clean detail cuts. An absolute must for resin work.
For measuring and scoring straight lines on foam and board. Makes clean, accurate cuts every time.
Paints & Brushes
Budget-friendly matte acrylics that cover well on primed foam. Great for base coating large terrain pieces.
A dedicated dry brush set — essential for the dry-brush highlight technique on stone, wood, and rocky terrain.
Versatile brush set for detail work, base coating, and washes. Covers everything from fine details to broad strokes.
Keeps paint wet and workable for hours. Game changer for blending and preventing wasted paint during long sessions.
